Changing Your Dial Access Number and username from Windows 2000


Step 1

Go to Start, Settings, Network Connections and choose your Dial Profile.

Step 2

This will bring up the Properties Dialog for that profile. Here is where you will find your access number field and your username.




Step 3

Change this number to reflect the following. Also, under “username” add, @urec.net to the end of your existing username. Click OK once complete.

New UREC Access Number: 553-0047 
Add @urec.net to the end of your username.




Step 4

Dial into UREC by pressing dial. A dialogue box will appear asking whether to make the change permanent or not. Answer yes.




You are now connected to UREC.net Internet.
